Recovery Coach & Mentor
Active alcoholic from 15-30. Sober from alcohol now 6+ years. Healthiest and happiest mentally, physically and spiritually I have ever been at the age of 36. Engaged to my best friend with a baby girl due end of March. Unique recovery path. Had much friend and family support but in many ways got sober on my own in my own way. Detoxed myself over the course of a couple weeks (not recommended as obviously dangerous at my level of an avg. of 25 drinks a day). Got sober in a house with 3 other active alcoholics. No professional help like inpatient or outpatient (Therapy for ~9 months). Found my calling/purpose to help others with their Recovery. Worked in a detox as a Certified Recovery Mentor. Was accepted to join state sponsored CADC (Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor) training. Finished up my supervised hours as Counselor/Mentor in outpatient Medication Supported Recovery setting. Left that position ~6months ago to serve others in a way that better served me by starting my own business Rogue Recovery Mentoring and Coaching. Run a men's recovery workout group every week. Basically went from depressed womanizing alcoholic who caused damage wherever he went to a healed man at peace with himself and his God. From a life of fear and doubt to one of peace and love.
